Usage and user-related information, such as IP address, location, time or frequency of visits to my website, are transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, I use Google Analytics with the so-called anonymization function. With this function, Google shortens the IP address already within the EU or the EEA.

The data collected in this way is in turn used by Google to provide us with an evaluation of the visit to my website and the usage activities there. This data can also be used to provide other services related to the use of my website and the use of the Internet.

Google states that it will not link your IP address to other data. Google also maintains

Further data protection information is available for you, for example on the options for preventing data use.

Google also offers at
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
a so-called deactivation add-on along with further information. This add-on can be installed with the usual Internet browsers and offers you further control over the data that Google collects when you access my website. The add-on notifies the JavaScript (ga.js) from Google Analytics that information about visiting my website should not be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, this does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analysis services. You can of course also find out in this data protection declaration whether and which other web analysis services we use.

Google reCAPTCHA
On my website I use Google reCAPTCHA to check and avoid interactions on my website through automated access, e.g. through so-called bots. It is a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as "Google".

This service enables Google to determine from which website a request is being sent and from which IP address you are using the so-called reCAPTCHA input box. In addition to your IP address, Google may also collect other information that is necessary to offer and guarantee this service.
The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in the security of my website and in the defense against unwanted, automated access in the form of spam or similar.

Google offers at
https://policies.google.com/privacy
further information on the general handling of your user data.

Google Fonts

On my website I use Google Fonts to display external fonts. It is a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as "Google".

Google guarantees that the EU's data protection requirements will also be complied with when processing data in the USA.
In order to enable the display of certain fonts on my website, a connection to the Google server in the USA is established when you access my website.

The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in the optimization and economic operation of my website.

Through the connection to Google established when you access my website, Google can determine from which website your request was sent and to which IP address the representation of the font is to be transmitted.

I use YouTube in connection with the "Extended data protection mode" function to be able to show you videos. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is to improve the quality of the website. According to YouTube, the "Extended data protection mode" function means that the data specified below will only be transmitted to the YouTube server if you actually start a video.
Without this “extended data protection”, a connection to the YouTube server in the USA will be established as soon as you call up one of my Internet pages on which a YouTube video is embedded.

This connection is necessary in order to be able to display the respective video on my website via your internet browser. In the course of this, YouTube will at least record and process your IP address, the date and time as well as the website you visited. In addition, a connection to the "DoubleClick" advertising network from Google is established.
If you are logged into YouTube at the same time, YouTube will assign the connection information to your YouTube account. If you want to prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting my website or make the appropriate settings in your YouTube user account.
For the purpose of functionality and analysis of usage behavior, YouTube permanently stores cookies on your device via your internet browser. If you do not consent to this processing, you have the option of preventing cookies from being saved by making a setting in your Internet browser.
